What started as a small 400-square-foot boutique in Hampstead has blossomed into our current 2,000-square-foot showroom in Surf City, where we've been honored to serve countless families transform houses into homes that reflect the beauty of North Carolina living.

Jill Clark
Jill's journey to founding Coastal Home Store is as diverse as her design inspiration. From her roots in South Texas, to Southern California (where she met her husband), to Pennsylvania, and finally to North Carolina's beautiful coastline, her cross-country experiences have shaped her unique design perspective. Jill's interest for home design started as a young girl helping her Mom with Home Interiors, and has grown into a passion for creating beautiful, functional spaces for families to enjoy. This love for design drove her and her husband to invest in properties with potential—reconfiguring spaces, experimenting with materials, and creating functional, beautiful homes. While design wasn't her first career (she has an MBA and 25 years of experience in Project Management), in 2019, after relocating to North Carolina, Jill followed her dreams and opened Coastal Home Store in Hampstead. While her professional background is impressive, nothing has brought her more joy than helping others create spaces that nurture and inspire. Her "purpose over purchase" philosophy ensures that every design decision starts with how a space will function for your family, while still capturing the serene beauty of coastal living. When not at the store or styling homes, Jill serves her community as a member of the Topsail Island Sea Turtle Project, connecting her love for coastal living with environmental stewardship.
